The problem is not the problem. The problem is your to the problem. Got that?' Coach Brevin
Recently, there has been huge media attention on the movie -The Secret' and the phenomenon known as -The .' I've seen the movie, I've read books about the and it all makes sense to me. Basically, it's that you attract people, situations, challenges etc in your life according to what you -put out' to the universe.
This is another way of saying that you are the creator of your life - YOU, not someone else. So, if we are indeed the creators of our life then that means there are no victims because there is nobody to blame. Whatever your life looks like, whatever you are living is because you created it that way.
Most people don't have a problem with this when it comes to all the -good stuff' they seem to be attracting - better job, higher pay, a partner, etc - but if something decidedly -off' turns up, well out the window goes the , in comes frustration and the whining starts: -This stuff doesn't work! What a load of crap! See? The world really is out to get me!'
Here's the thing: the Law of attraction does work. Not some of the time, all of the time - and I mean ALL OF THE TIME! The Law of attraction is not biased. It has no concept of what's good or bad, it only matches vibration for vibration. So if you've attracted something you consider -bad' in your life, you'd better get busy and find out why!
The trouble with principles and concepts that become the next big answer to all our ills is that we end up taking such a narrow view as to lose all perspective. The Universe and Life does not function in a fragmented or separate manner. It does not -apply' the Law of attraction one day and another Law the next. There are universal laws and principles that are at work simultaneously, ALL THE TIME. For example, the Law of Balance, the Law of Harmony, the Law of Polarities, the Law of Cause and Effect.
I don't want this to turn into an abstract piece on intangible principles so I'll bring it back to the Law of attraction and what happens in life. Whether you believe there is some force in action or not matters little; what matters is whether you are WILLING to learn from life and the circumstances you are facing/attracting. Quite simply, if you're not willing to learn you will find yourself repeating the same old patterns again and again.
I'm not saying that if you're not willing, you are somehow -less than' those who are. If you're not willing then -fess up, take responsibility and stop complaining -life isn't working for you'! I have more respect for someone who freely admits they're not willing to work on themselves or to learn from their experiences than someone who says they are and then pleads ignorance when things don't go according to plan!
When trying to sort out what's what in your life, it's vital to remember a couple of points. In relation to the Law of attraction, understand that there is a -lag time' between what you intend to attract and when it materializes in your life. Because we are mostly unconscious of what is going on inside us at a deep level, we usually get a mixed bag of results. That's the universe responding in kind - if you're unfocused and all over the place, that's what you'll attract.
So if you want to find out what your true intentions are or what thought patterns are running your life, simply look at the results you have in your life now. They reflect what's going on inside pretty accurately.
Secondly, everything that happens in our lives we call forth for a reason - to learn. So stop looking at -bad situations' as bad luck or karma or punishment for some past misdeed. YOU called it forth in order to learn and grow.
Now is any of this true? I don't know and I don't really care. What matters is the EFFECT it has. If I choose to believe that I called it forth and I get busy from it, then I'm taking responsibility for my life. If I don't believe it and choose instead to think that someone is playing dice with my life and that it's not my fault -this' is happening, I'm pretty powerless to do anything, so why bother?
So now go back and read the quote by Coach Brevin and see what comes up!
Till next time, Love, light and laughter to you
Jenny
