When teaching supply and demand to children, grand scale explanations are often too difficult for them to grasp. Instead, putting the concept into terms they understand and offering hands-on demonstrations will help the children to better understand how supply and demand works.

Things You'll Need Play money Bag of small candies Large candy

1)Explain the concept to the children in basic terms before beginning demonstrations, telling the students that when a lot of people want something that is rare the price is very high, while things that are common and not as popular sell for much cheaper.

2)Give a basic example of supply and demand that the children can understand. For example, discuss the fact that when a local band plays a concert, tickets are easy to acquire; however, when a popular pop star plays, he has far more people that want to attend than there are seats for them -- so tickets are more expensive.

3)Distribute an even amount of play money to every student in the class. Ten bills works well.

4)Present a bag of small candies, such as M&Ms or Skittles, and explain that you will be selling the small candies to the highest offers in the class. As there are more candies in the bag than students in the class, possibly even more than there are bills of play money, students will not need to pay very much to buy a candy with their play money.

5)Offer a larger candy, preferably one which can be divided such as a chocolate bar, to the class. With only one bar available for the whole class to try to buy, the price will be much higher, possibly even requiring children to pool money to buy it.

6)Allow the children to play online games about Supply and Demand, such as the lemonade stand game in Resources indicated below.

Tips & Warnings

After teaching the lesson and allowing children to see the difference supply and demand has on price, divide the candy evenly among students to ensure everyone gets some, if you are using play money given only for the purpose of the demonstration. Alternatively, the lesson can be worked into a pre-existing rewards program in the class, with students allowed to make offers using reward money they have earned for good performance or good behavior in the class, in which case the winning bidders can keep the candy as their reward.

Now that I lectured you and kind of reprimanded you for rushing into , let me explain what's the whole deal about annulment of marriage. If you have seen the movie 'Laws of Attraction', you would know how two real life divorce lawyers, Pierce Brosnan and Julianne Moore, get married after a bout of drinking and then scamper to get a marriage annulment, and still fail to do so. I guess they should have gone to a better . Since I am no lawyer, I can tell you what is annulment of marriage in layman's terms. So here it goes.

In , annulment of marriage is a procedure by which a legally valid marriage is held null and void. That is, the marriage never existed in the eyes of the law. However, it is not easy to get any failed marriage annulled. There are certain of marriage which have to be proved substantially in the court of law.

Grounds for Annulment of Marriage Married couples who are close blood relatives can have their marriage annulled. In the eyes of the law, parent and child, brother and sister, aunt/uncle and nephew/niece, grandparent and grandchild are not legally allowed to marry. Hence, such a marriage is dissolvable and can be declared null. Another legal reason which is cited for annulment of marriage, is a fraudulent marriage. A marriage is declared fraud when it is not consummated and done for any ulterior purposes by both the parties. For example, if two people enter into the contract of marriage for the sole purpose of attaining a green card for one of them, then it's believed to be a fraudulent marriage. If a person marries someone, only to find out that the identity of his spouse is fake, that is, the person has been cheated into a marrying a non-existent person, then this person can appeal to court for an annulment of marriage. When one of the party in marriage contract, is coerced, forced, or under duress, physically or emotionally, then it can be considered as one of the apt grounds for annulment of marriage. Blackmailing someone into marriage is not legal, and hence, can lead to voidable marriage. If a person has made marriage vows under the influence of intoxication, then he/she can apply for an annulment of marriage. But do remember that this is quite difficult to prove as he/she has to prove that he/she was intoxicated beyond comprehensibility and was not responsible for his/her actions. Sexually transmitted diseases, impotency, unsound health of mind, and criminal behavior are a few other reasons which can be used to declare a marriage non-existent. If you had the knowledge that your spouse is suffering or abetting in the above mentioned grounds, prior to the wedding, and still you went along with it, then it would be difficult to get to an annulment. However, a good might be able to accomplish it. If at the time of marriage, you spouse wasn't legally single, then you can apply for an annulment of marriage. For a marriage to consummate between two people, both parties have to legally unmarried. If your spouse is still married or 'separated, not divorced' at the time of entering into marriage with you, then he/she is considered to have a valid marriage to his/her first spouse and your marriage would be nullified. If your spouse first marriage is annulled and he/she was married to you before annulment, then also you can opt for annulment of marriage. Age is also important factor when it comes to contract of marriage. You can get an annulment of marriage if you or your spouse were not of marriageable age at the time of marriage. Both the parties have to be of legal age for marriage, as child marriage is prohibited in most parts of the world. In most states of the US, the minimum age required for a valid marriage is 16 years, and you have to get a special permit from the court to marry if you are below 16 years of age. Ending a marriage is a heart wrenching task regardless of the duration of the marriage. Divorce or annulment should be taken only when you have given it considerable thought and there is no way you can repair your damaged relationship. The discussion on has been going forever. Divorce differs from annulment of marriage in the aspect that it ceases a valid marriage from existing, whereas an annulment declares a marriage non-existent from the beginning. There are numerous Universal Laws that are a part of the quantum soup that make up our lives here in our plane of existence. The is probably the most well known of the laws. There is so much discussion about the that sometimes we forget the other, very important laws, that play an integral part in our lives. These other Universal Laws, along with , actually enable us to manifest our desires.

Let's start off with a description of Law of attraction. This is probably the most powerful Universal Law. It acts like a boomerang. What thoughts and feelings you project out into the Universe, the same vibrational energy of that thought or feeling is brought back to you. We are all using the Law of attraction in our daily lives; however some of us are not aware of it, or consciously utilizing it to our benefit. It's when we do focus on our thoughts and intentions in a deliberate manner in order to bring about a desired outcome; we are using The Law of Deliberate Intent and truly using Law of attraction to our benefit. The Law of Deliberate Intent is being a deliberate creator as opposed to creating your life by default.

Other Universal laws include, but not limited to: The Law of Sufficiency and , The Law of Pure Potentiality, The Law of Detachment, and the Law of and Appreciation.

The next law is probably the most challenging of all the Universal Laws, one that gets the most rise out of people. It is the Law of Allowing. The Law of Allowing equals freedom. You may ask, "how so?" By allowing yourself to be your true authentic self you are offering unconditional love to you, which is the emotion that creates the highest vibration that there is. Here's the catch, not only is it allowing and accepting ourselves to be who we are but also accepting others for who they are. By allowing others to be their unique selves we are also extending unconditional love to them. However, when we have the need to have others feel and behave just as we do, we are coming from a place of judgment, judgment stems from fear and those emotions are of a lower vibrational energy. Thus, attracting lower vibrational situations into our lives. When we release the need to 'control' every circumstance or the people in our lives we are allowing the universe to deliver our desires in an unrestricted way and honoring tho se around us. When we are not allowing we are resisting. When we are resisting, we are not manifesting our desires. You can see why this law is extremely important.

The Law of Allowing is probably one of the most challenging laws to embrace. We all learn at an early age how to gain approval and affection from others by being who we think they want us to be and acting in ways to please them. Instead what we need to focus on is 'who we are', and learn acceptance of others, when they are simply being 'who they are'. When you have a difficult time with this law, here is a cool trick to start seeing more of those positive qualities of a person you are around daily: It's called the Positive Aspects book. Find a new journal and create pages for those people in your life that you would like to feel better about. Only write down the positive qualities of this person, come on I know you can find some about your co-worker, perhaps she is a really good mom. How does it make you feel when you write about her good qualities? Remember you are focusing on her good qualities ONLY, and leaving out her negative ones. When you write the positive qualities down on the paper, bring yourself i nto a place of feeling those qualities in your body. How does it feel to appreciate someone for the things you truly like about them? Do this for 15 minutes a day on people that are in your life. Have designated pages for each person. Spend your time feeling the good characteristics. After a few days of doing this consistently, you will begin to see more of the positive and less of the negative qualities of these people.

Law of attraction - Is it Hard or Easy?

It took me over 3 years of reading, listening and watching everything I could possibly lay my hands on about the law of attraction, quantum physics, meditation and understanding our Universe before I could say I got it. Any spare money I made went into purchasing books, cd's and courses, to assist me in my growth. Did I ever give up? Absolutely. Many times! It was the hardest thing I've ever done. It contradicted every belief I had been given about money, life and my world in general. Things did not happen as fast as I'd liked and so I would say to myself -see it doesn't work-. But each time I fell, along would come another resource to get me on my feet again. I watched, read and listened to many people. All of whom believed so strongly. All wanted to help others understand so passionately. Who was I to prove them wrong? Yes it was hard. It was like believing in a fairytale and all the beliefs I held about my reality were questioned.

OLD HABITS DIE HARD

It was easy to slip back into old habits. When you're not living in your dream home or driving that fancy car or basking in $100 bills, then it's easy to become despondent. The first year was definitely the most challenging. But as I read, as I watched and as I practiced I realised something was and had been hapening over that first year.. I was happy. Really happy. And for no reason. I woke up happy. I danced around the house in the mornings. I was even happy as I paid by bills, when ever money presented itself. How blind had I been? I had not really stopped to look and appreciate the many things that had manifested into my life without any effort over that first year. I was so busy concentrating on the money that was not gushing into my account, I'd forgotten to take stock and give appreciation. I had attracted a year full of little stuff that I'd simply taken for granted and every one of them was an item on my list. Dinners Concert Tickets Free Fuel New Fridge (The exact one on my vision board) The perfect car , at the right time, at the right price! A gorgeous little playmate for my other dog (exact type I'd requested) The perfect place to live (at unbelievable rent) New friendships The list goes on-----...

That's not to say I'm an expert. Far from it. My journey is only just beginning. But I'm at a place now where I can believe in the process and that's important. I guess you would say I now have faith and for someone that started with no real belief system at all, then building faith was a hurdle. When you're telling your mind one thing and your eyes see the opposite, it can be difficult to say the least. Keeping yourself in a higher vibration is paramount to your success. I am able to manifest the little things with ease. But I confess my ego still likes to whisper in my ear -coincidence-. It is a constant battle.

Top Five Tips To Speeding The Law of attraction

It took 30 days of daily dedication to the principles of the law of attraction, before things started to really shift for me in a way that was noticeable on a daily basis. Although I had spent a year on and off practicing various aspects I was not consistent. And that was the key. Repetition. This isn't a fly by night course: This is a way of life! You have to focus on making it just that, if you really want to make changes.

The Following Five Tips Were Paramount In My Growth. Tip 1.

No matter how much you like to be up on what's happening around the world. Get over it. Stop watching the news and current affairs programs. A half hour of news is enough to evoke a range of negative emotions and feelings of powerlessness. What ever has happened, has happened. You watching an exaggerated coverage of the events, is not going to change this. It can however change your mood and on a daily basis this does and will effect your progress. It brings you back to what you deem as reality and most often then this has you questioning the process.

Same with movies. Switch to comedies, romances and family movies. Stay clear of murders and those heart wrenching true to life stories. Give the visual stimuli things to laugh and smile at. More of the same will come back to you. This is very important. Why would you really want to watch something you know is going to upset you or anger you? You natural state of being is one of joy. Why intentionally make yourself feel any different?

And again, the same with the newspaper. Stop reading it. It's not full of joy and good wishes to set you on a day of positive outcomes. It's about murders, interest rates, deaths, scandals. Nope. Can't think of anything to feel good about there! Seriously this was the first (and hardest) step I made, towards changing my life. I have not read a newspaper or watched the news or current affairs show for over 2 years now. Not knowing hasn't effected me in the least. That doesn't mean I'm not aware. That's the funny thing about doom and gloom; Others like to spread it and are happy to talk about it for days, months even. Sooner or later I catch up. The difference is that I don't delve for details, have not seen the visuals and therefore get to experience it in a detached manner. Tip 2.

Read, listen, watch and then do it some more. Read up on Quantum Physics, Our Universe, others experiences, past teachers, present teachers; anything you can find that resonates with you. Have a ready library of Ebooks, cd's and dvd's on your computer and everyday read, listen or watch something from your library. The mind is not going to make lasting changes by practicing this every other day. This is your life. Find the time.

That's right. Every single day you have to find the time to read, or listen or watch something from your library. Repetition is the key. And never stop looking for more resources. New information presents itself every day and unless you're proficient at manifesting on command, then you can learn a little something from each one.Tip 3.

Watch your thoughts-closely. Take active control over your conversations. If it's gossip then box it. If others are gossiping then politely leave. If the conversations around you evoke a negative emotion; leave. Do not enter into emotional debates. Think before you speak. Make a conscious effort to monitor your thoughts and to equate them with your feelings at that moment before you voice them. If you start voicing them with -I probably shouldn't say this-, then you're right - you probably shouldn't. If the thought carries a strong negative emotion then box the thought. Actually visualize placing that thought in a box, closing the lid, placing it on a conveyor and sending it on its way. Monitoring your thoughts is paramount to getting to the stage of feeling good all the time. It's good to feel good!

Tip 4.

Meditate. Every day. It's not by chance that everyone advises to do this. Meditation takes you to a place that once experienced, you will definitely want to return to. It's benefits will accelerate your progress enormously.You just need to find the right one for you. That can be a little tricky. I tried over 20 different meditation programs before I found the one that was right for me. Some I purchased made me giggle. Others I couldn't stand the music or voice over. Others did nothing but put me to sleep. It's an individual preference. But the importance of Meditation every day can not be stressed enough. A full half hour at least. If you can spare an hour even better. What do you mean you have no time? Is this change important to you or not?

Find the time. Get up earlier. Go to bed later. Do it during your lunch hour. Just do it! It will help change your life.

BE PREPARED FOR SEPARATION

It can appear that believing in the law of attraction is akin to shaving your head and joining a cult!

Initially I missed our friendship, but soon realised it was the habit I missed more. I've met new friends who lift me up and are a joy to around. It's all about change. Don't be afraid of it.

I spent the best part of my first year defending my actions. What a complete waste of time. Listening to a well meaning friend or family member, who believed my goal was a pipe dream and then kindly gave me all the reasons why it wouldn't work;had to stop. The myriad of questions and concerns as to why an intelligent woman (that would be me!), believed in such nonsense and my own energy spent on zealously defending myself: had to stop.

I realise now that I have nothing to defend. I'm not asking them to believe it. Of course I'd love for them to experience the changes I have experienced, but it's not my place to convince them. If they ask, I answer. If they ask negatively, I change the subject. When they persist I leave. Nothing is more important than my state of being. I have lost several friends along the way and one family member. Well actually I like to think of them as lost. I hold nothing against them from dropping me out of their lives and social network. And one day when they're ready to take their own journey, then here I am. Without one single -I told you so- in sight.
